About this item
- We back all of our products with a 100% Satisfaction Promise. If a product doesn’t work out like you hoped, email or text us! We will send you a new product or issue you a refund.
- Period Freedom. Pixie is a reusable silicone cup that collects your monthly discharge or menstrual flow. Inserted similar to a tampon, Pixie Cup sits in the vaginal canal comfortably with no odor, leaks or risk of TSS. Easy removal and leak-free periods means no period blood stains! Also works as a conception cup!
- Pixie Cup vs Soft Cup. The design of our Pixie stem allows for easy removal and is perfect for a higher cervix. We recommend the Pixie Slim for those with a lower cervix or tilted uterus. All of our cups are on the softer side, which doesn’t block urine flow, this allows your bladder to relieve itself fully.
- Works for Every Woman. You can wear Pixie Feminine Cups for 12 consecutive hours before you clean or reinsert. Whether you're an active teenager who enjoys sports or a busy mom, you can enjoy every part of life while you run, swim, or dance. We have a menstrual cup for you while in motion or in your sleep.
- Buy One, Give One. Every time you purchase a Pixie Cup, a cup is donated to a woman in need. Here at Pixie, our goal is for every woman to have access to period products and you can help us! With help from people like you, we’ve donated 135,000+ Pixie Cups so far!

Pixie Cup
Buy One, Give One Period Cup. We're here to meet all your period needs. Helping to Empower Others, Give Back, and Live Free since 2016.
-
How did we get our start?
After traveling the world and witnessing the devastating effects of period poverty firsthand, Amber, along with her brother Benjamin, started Pixie Cup with the goal of putting a menstrual cup in the hands of every woman in need.
Why do we give back?
We find our inspiration from Acts 20:35: “…It is more blessed to give than to receive.” This verse is inscribed on the inside of our cups as a reminder of the Pixie Cup that was gifted to someone in need. When you invest in a Pixie Cup, you invest in period freedom for yourself + one.
-
Women spend around 2-3 months every year on their period. We're here to make those 60-90 days feel like your best days, with nothing holding you back. Pixie Cup offers a variety of menstrual cups and period products designed to empower women to live in freedom every day of the year. Whether you love hiking, swimming, or prefer Netflix-style marathons, we've got you covered.
Buy One, Give One. When you buy a cup from us, you change a life forever.
-
What makes our products unique?
Besides our Buy One Give One Program, our recyclable packaging and sustainable, reusable products made from organic materials allow you to feel good about every purchase.
Why do we love what we do?
Girls in developing countries face many difficulties because they don't have access to period products. In the US, 1 in 5 women struggle to afford menstrual products. We get to help empower every woman in the world with the resources to manage her period with dignity.

Product Description
What size should I get?
If you use 1-3 regular pads or tampons on your heaviest day, you have a light flow - try the XS! If 4-5, you have a medium flow and should try the Small. If 6-7, you have a heavy flow - go for the Large. If 8+, you have an extra heavy flow - XL!
Can I use a Pixie Cup if I have a tilted uterus?
This completely depends on your body and how your Pixie Cup fits you! Go ahead and try it out because you likely won’t have any problems. If you do experience leaking or pain, remember that we offer a 100% happiness promise.
How do I clean my cup?
Wash with an all-natural, silicone-safe wash (like our Pixie Wash!) every 12 hours to keep odors, staining, and bacteria away. Before/after your period, sterilize it by boiling or use our Steamer - sterilizes in 3 mins with the click of a button!
Can I use a Pixie Cup if I have an IUD?
Yes! However, as with all vaginal products, there is a small chance of IUD dislocation. We recommend talking to your gynecologist about using your Pixie Cup with an IUD and possibly having your IUD strings trimmed slightly.
Can I wear my Pixie Cup while swimming, peeing, doing yoga, or having intercourse?
Yes to all…except intercourse :( If you want period protection during sex too, check out our Pixie Disc. Its flat-fit design allows you to have no-mess period sex! Yep, you read that right!

I am a confident woman so I do not care about the size I just care about not leaking so took the risk of choosing an X-large pixie cup.🫣butttt yes 🤣I was afraid a little bit because even when I had a partner at the moment to have sex is difficult to get in so 😁Yeah! I like big men 🥱 back to cup .the size made me kind of nervous ( am a Short girl 5’0 and 105 pounds, low cervy, and not active sexually)😁But guess what?
Pixie saved me not leaking at all, no pressure on my bladder, and strong suction, little painful to put inside so I put a little oil and. Worked perfectly as soon as inside girl I couldn't feel anything…but get it out I just breathe and Pushed a little like gonna deliver a baby and that is.When am I home I do not like wearing underwear bueh most of the time of my life 🤣and living in New York. Winter time I do not need to 😏 let my vagina breathe Yeah so I was at home during my two heavy days not wearing underwear and going to the supermarket yeah like I didn't have it my period.😂😂Just me and my menstrual cup. Big change 🌹I Used to hate my period, it was painful, and wasting a lot of pads because I didn't like to feel weed 😩I felt disgusting, and always my pad was going sideways 😕I used to use a big pad and never tried a tampon 😮Now I am free👏✌️( Still dealing with menstrual cramps since I was 13 years old🙁)
the first one that I bought was an X-large plum. I communicated with Pixie customer service and Asked the difference between an X-large classy and a large normal one. That I would try a little small one. They sent me a free large classsy
I haven't used it yet but anyway Wey I love my first Pixie Cup and I will keep using both 🥰
Thank You very much, pixie Team
Especially Alexis for replying to me and being so attentive.

I’m 5’4’’ and morbidly obese at about 330 pounds. I would shop for my wallet killers aka pads and tampons down the same aisle when I need to replenish. I kept looking at the Diva Cup on the shelf and was turned off by the price. That’s what gets me...the price. Was I that willing to fork over a ridiculous amount of money for something that’s supposed to save me so much more the rest of my life? No lol! Money is too tight these days.
So I broke down and asked in a makeup group I’m in on Facebook about the Diva Cup and what their thoughts were on it. A vast, large majority said it was best thing they ever had. Which is exactly what I wanted to hear. I needed to hear the support whether it was good or bad. So I ordered this at the tail end of my period so it’s not like I had a lot of “obstacles” in the way trying this out.
I’m a very huge woman so I found that doing the trifold method versus just folding the cup over once worked best for me. I relaxed my muscles and just pretended like it was a tampon I’m inserting only it’s a purple silicone funnel lol! I tried inserting standing up and it just wasn’t working for me. I did wayyyyy better sitting down on the toilet which is best when you have to take it out anyway. I almost had it perfectly placed the first time inserting it. Reading the directions first put me at ease. Little things like you can pee with it in and not to use it for post natal bleeding. It was nice to read the small pamphlet for helpful tips, advice and how to take care of your menstrual cup. It felt funny at first and then I made myself move around more. I sat down on the sofa and I felt the cup go up more and I felt even more comfortable. One thing’s for sure, you can’t be afraid to get friendly with your “southern territory” so that you can make sure the cup is positioned like it should. Don’t be afraid to push the cup up higher. If you feel like something is stuck down below, it’s probably not in right. When it feels comfy, you’ll know. Some will feel it and others won’t. For me, I know it’s there and yes I feel it but it’s not an annoyance. I never felt uncomfortable to the point I need to adjust it.
For those of you that work a lot, this cup is supposed to serve no leak protection for up to 12 hours and it’s true. I get up in the morning and unplug to shower and sanitize my cup. I pop it in and although it’s supposed to be leak free protection, there’s nothing wrong with putting on a panty liner for insurance. So that’s what I do. I go to work as normal and by the time I get home, I unplug, clean, sanitize and shower. I’m usually at my heaviest on day 2-3 and I go 5 days max when I’m on my cycle on average. I work at a daycare (for now....last day is in three days and then I’m going to a desk job!). Working with kids you’re up and down, constantly moving.
I wore a panty liner and the Pixie Cup today and there was no leaking whatsoever and no discomfort of any kind. No smells. No blood on my underwear. No tampon in sight. No long Infinity pads the size of an eagle’s wing span. Being so big is so tough. I’ll have a heavy cycle and I’ll wear the Super absorbency tampon with a Heavy or Overnight absorbency Always Infinity pad at the same time. And having a big backside it just sucks up my underwear and then blood can easily got up the crack of my butt no matter what kind of menstrual armor I put on and I have to go to the bathroom just to wipe myself up. Granted, I wear black pants everyday, but blood can smell and no one is gonna tell me I smell but they might if I’m not around. Or I go to the bathroom and sit down on the toilet and there’s blood on the back part of the toilet. So I wipe the blood away and Lysol the toilet until it’s dead and wipe it down like I’m getting paid for it. I hated how I would smell and I was changing my pads and tampons.
This Pixie Cup has given me peace of mind and freedom. For once, something makes me feel good about myself. Maybe once I get this weight loss surgery next year I’ll be even more confident in my body and struggle less with inserting this Pixie Cup. We have a 9 year old and 2 year old, both girls. So maybe when that time of the month starts for them, it might be something for them to consider if they’re comfy with it and save some money and protect their bodies in the long run. It’s important that they make their own choices when it comes to what they wanna do with the feminine products they use. Since I’m now educated in the benefits of a menstrual cup, not just for saving money, but for better health practices too, it’s another option for our daughters to consider when that time comes for them.
Another important thing I was worried about is this thing disappearing into my body and I never see it again. For those of you that have had a child, push like you’re pushing a baby out and you’ll see the end of the cup and remove it. For those of you who haven’t had a baby, push as if you’re trying to pee or like your trying to have a bowel movement. I always wondered that if I shove this thing up there, will it want me to retrieve it haha. Keep in mind I’m a very big woman so when I sit down, that Tsumani-like force of my butt pressing against any surface is going to move things North, South, East and West I ain’t lying. And I still was able to get it out.
So yes, I’m impressed with this, told my mom about my experience and how much I liked it. She didn’t even know something like this existed even though it’s been out for a long time now. I explained to her how it’s used, the benefits, etc. She wish she had it when she started her cycle.
As far as the cleansing wipes, they’re good and if you wanna go cheaper, you can always have a small bathroom clutch bag and store some unscented baby wipes in a zip lock or get a travel sized pack of wipes and store it inside of your bathroom clutch so that you can easily clean your cup in the bathroom if you’re out in public or at your place of business. In case you might drop your cup in the toilet, get a backup cup or have a backup pad or two just to keep yourself covered until you can properly sanitize it once you get home. I even used Vagisil to clean my Pixie Cup and very hot water. I’m cheap, I try to use what I have before spending a ton of money right away.
Hope this review helped!

I've always been a pad user; I have used tampons in the past and felt comfortable using them but a pad just seemed easier for me. I'd seen menstrual cups advertised and saw some people reviewing them. I was interested as it seemed better for the environment but I felt incredibly nervous. After doing some research I found the pixie cup, and the fact that they give these to women in need too was amazing.
I had a quick look on their website as they do a variety of cups and wasn't sure which one was right for me (if you're unsure too they have a quick quiz on their website which I recommend doing, especially if you are like me and had no idea how to tell where your cervix was, which a lot of companies recommend you do before buying). I then bought the regular one (as was recommended), and it worked beautifully for me.
If you're not sure where to start with what to buy (as there are a lot of different products to chose from) I bought the cup and their menstrual cup wash (which I found incredibly useful as well). I do have the steriliser now too, but I think in terms of necessity you only need the cup itself and the cleaner. The cup does come with wipes which are incredibly useful if you're in a public bathroom, and you can sterilise your cup without the steriliser. I would start with just the cup and the cleaner and see how you go.
When the cup first arrived it came with a really great information pack guiding you through. When I first started using it I was apprehensive, and insertion was tricky. A lot of people recommend the C-fold which I tried, but after about two days and leaks I looked up other folds as it just didn't work for me. I ended up trying the punch down fold and found this worked so much better and was 1000 times easier (there are so many ways you can fold it and there are tutorials on YouTube too).
Actually using the cup I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. After finding a better fold that worked for me, I can now insert it on the first try. Now I'm a bit more practised I can take it out, clean it, and re-insert it in about five minutes.
Taking out the cup was actually really easy from the get-go, I love the bobble at the end of the stem as it is always really easy to find. Cleaning was so easy with the cleaner, and inserting it back in again was easy once I found the right fold for me. In terms of the mechanics of it I find it is obviously harder than traditional period products such as a pad or tampon, and for a while it takes a lot longer. However, it gets easier with practice and time.
When the cup was in, I was blown away! There were a few tiny leaks whilst I was getting the hang of it, but I would put it in/change it when I woke up and before I went to work, would do an entire shift (I work quite long hours) with it in and without worrying, and then change it between 8 - 12 hours. It took so much stress and thinking pressure off of me, as I didn't need to worry about leaks or changing it regularly, I just went about my day! There was no odour which was great, and I didn't have that awful wet-pad feeling which I hated, so this was unexpected bonus that didn't occur to me at the time.
I felt so much more hygienic, and some days I genuinely forgot I was on my period. It didn't take over my week as much as it usually does. I felt so impressed that I didn't have to worry for up to 12 hours; I am so tired on my period that I can easily sleep for that long and it was relief to know I wouldn't have to set an alarm to get up and change a pad/tampon, or worry about leaks on bedsheets. Changing it in a public bathroom is a bit more tricky, but as said the wipes really help with this and it's very manageable.
Sorry this is so long! But I absolutely love this product! I love that my period is less stress now, I feel more hygienic, it's more environmentally friendly, I'm saving money in the long run, it's helping other women, and I can use this 10 years! I was so nervous to use this, but I am absolutely converted and cannot tell you how pleased I am that I've tried it! If you're apprehensive, honestly give it a go. It's a lot of trial and error I think, but once you've figured out what's best for you it's life changing!
Perfecta.
